We have the pleasure to inform you...

"Dear Parent / Guardian, we have the pleasure to inform you that your son has been selected to join Form One at Tengeru Boys School in 2016 the school will reopen on Saturday 9th January 2016. Students will begin to practice it starting at nine in the morning until ten o'clock in the evening. Our school is located before the station Bus Tengeru happen Arusha road to Moshi. Near the gas station NATOIL. From Sanx took the road that leads to Lake Duluti. After as 200 meters, turn right near the Catholic church you follow Tengeru tablet Boys School looks once upindapo right after church. There are other schools on the left side of the road that are our neighbors Duluti Secondary School."

[Note: Google translate did well with this letter, originally written in Swahili. School doesn't actually end at 10pm, it's actually 4pm.]

From my research Tengeru is a top school in the region. In 2014 it ranked second in the region in terms of the examination results the students achieved and 12th in the nation overall. 50 out of the 58 students passed with distinction. The remaining 8 passed with merit.

For this year we are likely to move with this. I am always keen to hear feedback on other moves we should be considering. Congratulations Leboy!

Last two days

Leboy's last two days in Hong Kong, hardly a moment to breathe! Learning about evolution in the Galapagos, bouncing around the trampoline park, and then a guitar concert by Sungha Jun and Masa Sumide. Then, broing out the next day with Agustin, learning about the restaurant business, and getting some sweet new soccer gear!

At the Space Museum learning about the Galapagos

"How do  you win?" "You don't, you can only lose more slowly."

THREE scoops of ice cream

Making new friends while bouncing around!

Dodge!

Winding down with some Chinese films, by request

This fish he handled just fine.

A different kind of learning

Leboy has been in Hong Kong for ten days already but there's still so many new and cool things to be done. On Friday we went for an inspiring tour or HKU with a wonderful woman from Leboy's region who gave us great advice about Tanzanian secondary schools. We then stopped by the funky 3D museum before enjoying a crazy jazz concert!
Saturday began with a personal animal balloon making class. Leboy showed what a monkey he was in the afternoon when we went bouldering. Wrapped the night up watching The Martian , in 4DX!

Wrestling with the balloon

How to make a dog

Thank you sifu for the class! And thanks to Arnold for the opportunity!

You can make it here if you keep working hard!

Boom! The happiest place on earth

What a blast these last two days have been. A full day at Disneyland *and* pizza for dinner? What a perfect day... Except for the quick trip to the doctor to make sure Leboy's ear is okay. Kick start the next day with some paddle boating in Park View and then some fun times eating burgers and bowling with Hong Kong University's African students. Winding up the night with an amazing view to some genuine Chinese fireworks!

The happiest boy on earth!

To the infinite, and beyond!

How many vehicles can we cover on this trip?

 Pizza!

No trip would be complete without a visit to the doctor..

Paddling time

Feed the fish and cycle the boat...

Burger time with the African students of HKU

Guess who was scoring strikes by the end of it

We gave up soccer for this... Worth it!

Thanks Jimmy for getting us a premium viewing spot!

Hong Kong Drift

The adventures don't stop... Leboy has once again amazed us, this time by showing how quickly he mastered riding a bike. A little bit of fishing and a traditional Chinese dinner in New Territories gave way to a brand new day where he visited Victoria Peak. And, now Leboy has his own email address! Why don't you say hello? leboy.runda@gmail.com
